Medicine Drop scheduled in Garner

The Garner Police Department is hosting a medication take-back event on Saturday, March 21st, from 9am-Noon at Town Hall, 900 Seventh Ave. (Building B in the Council Chambers) This service is free, anonymous and no questions will be asked.

By providing safe and secure ways for people to get rid of unwanted prescription and over-the-counter prescriptions, Operation Medicine Drop helps prevent accidental poisoning and drug abuse while also protecting our waters. This take-back event coincides with National Poison Prevention week, which runs from March 15-21. For more information about properly disposing of unused medications, check out the FDA website.

More information about Operation Medicine Drop can be found at NC Safe Kids or by calling Sgt. Chris Adams (919) 773-6072.
